International Sex Survey
Picture

Learn more
The ISS is dedicated to understanding a wide range of sexual behaviors, including both positive (such as sexual satisfaction or sexual desire) and some negative aspects (such as sexual risks or compulsive behaviors) of sexuality.

This study is conducted in more than 40 countries, which allows us to compare results between different cultures and better understand sexuality around the world. Recruitment for this study is now complete, and over 82,000 participants completed the survey. Check out the study's website to see the results and more information on the project.
Dyadic study of adult couples
The purpose of the current study is to understand how different sexual behaviours (including partnered sexual activities, masturbation, and pornography use) in the couple contribute to the sexual wellbeing of each partner.
Who can participate?
Couples who are at least 18 years old, have been together for at least one year, and have been sexually active in the past three months are invited to participate in this study. Participation of eligible individuals in this study consists of completing self-reported online questionnaires at three measurement times during one year.
How to participate?
We appreciate your interest in our research. The recruitment process has ended, and we have successfully enrolled more than 300 couples.

Who can participate?
Participants who feel they have problematic pornography use are invited to participate in this study. They must be at least 18 years old and read and understand English to participate in this study.
